Migrated Property Choices to Client Records and Decommission Choices Manager

Data Management
January 16, 2026
Feature Overview:

To make system configuration more intuitive, the management of dropdown choices has been moved from the legacy "Choices Manager" directly into Client Records. This consolidation means that all list options for custom forms are now managed in one central location, making it easier to maintain and update field values across the platform.

Related Features:
  • Custom Form Properties
  • Client Record Management
Features/Benefits:
  • Document Handling - The conversion logic intelligently ignores PDF and non-image documents, ensuring they remain in their original high-fidelity format.
  • Unified Management - No more switching between different tools; all dropdown options are now managed directly within the Client Records section.
  • Direct Data Linking - Selection lists are now tied directly to live records, ensuring that any update to a client record is immediately reflected in the associated forms.
  • Cleaner Interface - The removal of the redundant Choices Manager simplifies the administration menu, leaving only the most relevant tools.
  • Data Continuity - All existing tickets and forms have been automatically updated to point to the new data source. No historical information has been lost or changed during this transition.
  • Easier Updates - Adding or editing a choice is now as simple as updating a Client Record, reducing the steps required for routine system maintenance.
How It Works:
  1. Open any Custom Form that uses dropdown selections.
  2. Observe that list values are now powered by Client Records instead of the old Choices Manager.
  3. To add or edit an option in a list, navigate to the Client Records section and update the corresponding entry.
  4. Existing tickets will continue to display their original selected values, now linked to the new record structure.
  5. The system automatically handles the background connection, ensuring that all dropdowns remain active and accurate.
